The Gospel
The Gospel is a message of good news. As God’s specially made creation, we were designed to live a relationship of perfect harmony with Him and each other. Our desire to cast Him off and be superior to each other and even God Himself comes from our own rebellion against our Maker. Our desires separate us from these harmonious relationships. God desires that we listen to His message, grasp it, and live as He intended us to. This is possible through what God has done on our behalf. Only through Jesus Christ’s finished work can we, even as rebellious as we are, enjoy the peace and harmony of being reunited to God and each other. The good news is that God has begun to help us by making the offer of forgiveness, reconciliation, and life to those who will accept it. The Gospel is a message of good news.
