OUR Doctrinal Statement
1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally and plenarily inspired by God, inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life ( II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:20-21; Psa. 119:105).
2. We believe in one God, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, manifesting Himself in Three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – one in nature, attributes, power and glory but distinct in persons (Mk. 12:29-30; Deut. 33:27; Rev. 19:6; I John 3:20; Jer.23:24; II Cor. 13:14).
3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is fully God and fully man, yet without sin (Lk. 1:35; Isa. 7:14; John 1:1,2,14; Heb. 4:15).
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Gen. 1:27; I Cor. 15:22; Rom. 5:12; Mk. 7:21-23). We also believe that God in an act of grace receives to Himself those who die in infancy to live eternally in heaven.
5.We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and rose again for our justification; that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood and are saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works. I Cor. 15:3; I Pet. 2:24; Rom. 4:24-25; Col. 1:14; Eph. 2:8-9
6. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus are born again by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God and thereby become the children of God, possessing eternal, divine life and are eternally secure; that all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ; that once saved it is impossible for the believer to lose or relinquish his salvation (I Pet. 1:23; John 3:5-7, 15; Gal. 3:26, Phil. 1:6; John 10:28,29; Rom. 8:35-39; Jude 1; Heb. 6:4-6; John 6:39,40).
7.We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person – convicting of sin, revealing Christ, teaching truth, restraining evil, energizing believers in prayer, worship, and service, and is ever present in the believer as the Comforter and Helper (John 15:26, 16:7-14; Rom. 8:26-27; John 14:16-17).
8.We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven, His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate, and His personal, bodily, visible, premillennial return to establish His kingdom on earth and to reign as the Only Potentate, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords (Lk. 24:6-7; Acts 1:8-11; Heb. 7:24-27; Mt. 24:27-30; I Tim. 6:15).
9. We believe in a pretribulational rapture and that at any moment the rapture of the saved may occur, when "the Lord shall descend from heaven" to catch up His people to meet Him in the air, and "so shall we ever be with the Lord" (John14:1-3; 1 Cor. 15:50-58; I Thess. 4:15-17).
10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead and the saved to a life of eternal glory and bliss in heaven with God; the unsaved to eternal judgment of conscious suffering and woe in the lake of fire (1 Cor. 15; Dan. 12:2; John 5:28-29; Rev. 21:8).
11. We believe in separation from all religious apostasy, worldly pleasures, sinful practices, and all associations involved therein, and separating ourselves in wholehearted devotion to the cause of Christ as the only scriptural basis for a happy and useful Christian life (II Cor. 6:14-17:1; II Thess. 3:6, 14-15; Rom. 12:1-2; I John 2:15-17; II John 10-11; Titus 2:12).
12. We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to be a personal soulwinner and to do his utmost to give the Gospel of Christ to the whole world (Matt. 28:19, 20; Psa. 107:2; Acts 1:8).
13. We believe that the true, universal church includes all believers in Christ during this present dispensation and is the body and bride of Christ of which He is the Head. We believe that the local church is an organized congregation of believers observing the ordinances of Christ, exercising the gifts, privileges and responsibilities given in the New Testament, and following a democratic and congregational type of government (I Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 5:23-32; Acts 2:41,42,47; Rom. 12:4-8; Eph. 4:11-12; Acts 6:3-5).
14. We believe that there are two church ordinances: baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water to show forth in solemn and beautiful emblem our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, our death to sin, and our resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service commemorating His death, burial and resurrection until He comes (Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 2:41-42; Rom. 6:3-5; I Cor. 11:23-30).
15. We believe in the sovereign selection of Israel as God’s eternal covenant people. Though now dispersed because of her disobedience and rejection of Christ, she is being preserved to be regathered to her land where believing Jews will recognize and embrace their Messiah (Gen. 13:14-17; Rom. 11:16-36; Ezek. 37).
16. We believe the Biblical account of the creation of the physical universe, angels, and man; that this account is neither allegory nor myth, but a literal, historical account of the, direct creative acts of God without any evolutionary process; that man was created by a direct work of God and not from previously existing forms of life; that all men are descended from the historical Adam and Eve, first parents of the entire human race (Gen.1,2; Col. 1:16; John 1:3).
17. We believe that God created human beings in His image as two distinct genders, male and female, and that the intended gender identity of an individual is determined by such individuals biological sex at birth. We apply this belief regarding gender identity in all policies and programs of the church. In addition, we subscribe to the biblical belief that God has instituted marriage as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman. We recognize only such marriages for all policies and programs in the church. We further believe that sexual desire is rightfully fulfilled only within marriage and that unmarried singles who abstain from sex can be whole, mature persons, as pleasing to God as persons who are faithful in marriage (Gen. 1:28; 2:18; Prov.5:18,19; Heb. 13:4; Rom. 1:26-27, 1 Cor. 6:9).
18. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan, the Devil; that he was created by God as an angel but through pride and rebellion became the enemy of his Creator; that he became the unholy god of this age and the ruler of all the powers of darkness and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the lake of fire (Matt.4:1-11; II Cor. 4:4; Rev. 20:10).
